NEXT NAC MEETING IN APRIL AT CONESTOGA MIDDLE SCHOOL
The next meeting of the Greenway NAC will be on January 20, 2004 at 7:00 PM. We will meet in the library at Conestoga Middle School.  This is a location change from the last meeting. Look for the agenda flyer in the mail next month. Since January can have snowstorms, please remember that the meeting will be cancelled if the school closes for a snow day or if the school closes early due to snow.

PROPOSED TRAFFIC SIGNAL ON HALL AT RIDGECREST
In 2003, the Traffic Commission voted to add the intersection at Hall and Ridgecrest to the list of potential traffic signals at the number 4 position in the ranking of signal priorities. However, a final decision was not made on this signal.  Funding is now available for the signal and the Traffic Commission will hold a public meeting and make a final decision on whether to use the available funding to install the traffic signal at Hall and Ridgecrest.  The Traffic Commission hearing will be Thursday, January 6, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. in City Hall Council Chambers.  Written comments may also be submitted prior to the meeting.  Address written comments to: City Traffic Engineer, PO Box 4755, Beaverton, OR  97076

KOHL'S DEPARTMENT STORES
Kohl's Department Stores is proposing to develop a new retail building at the existing Malibu Grand Prix site located near the intersection of SW Cascade Boulevard and SW Scholls Ferry Road.  The new use will be an approximately 98,000 square foot, two-story building with approximately 355 parking spaces. The subject site is currently zoned General Commercial (GC), which permits the use outright. Kohl's is planning on submitting their application sometime in December.  There will be a hearing before the Board of Design Review sometime in early 2005. Kohl's plan is to open the store in March 2006.

COUNCIL AND COMMISSION MEETINGS NOW STREAMED ON WEB
City of Beaverton City Council meetings and Washington County Commission meetings are now available on the Web, just a day or two after the meeting is over. Other features of streaming include the ability to pause, skip forward and rewind.  To access the Streaming Video Media Server, go to
www.yourtvtv.org
, choose Programs, click on Govt. Programming, and then click on the box that says View Government Streaming Video. Find the meeting you wish to watch and click on the square Media Player icon.  You must have high-speed internet access for viewing streaming video.

NATURE PARK ADVISORY COMMITTEE OPENING 
The Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District - Tualatin Hills Nature Park & Interpretive Center has one opening on the Nature Park Advisory Committee.  All interested applicants must apply by Wednesday, December 8, 2004, 5:00 PM.  Application packets are available at the Nature Park Interpretive Center, 15655 SW Millikan Blvd., Beaverton, OR 97006, 503-629-6350, and on the web at

.  Applicants must live within the Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District boundaries.  All Applicants must attend the Thursday, December 9, 7:00 PM meeting to meet the present Advisory Committee.
