GREENWAY NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION COMMITTEE Meeting Minutes October 16, 2008 Jim Persey called the meeting to order at 7:02 pm in the library of Conestoga Middle School. Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue Station 66 gave a fire services update on neighborhood calls, information on the levee renewal and provided a home safety flyer. Beaverton Police Officer Rob Wolfe provided crime statistics for our neighborhood and encouraged everyone to wear seatbelts when driving. Mayor Rob Drake discussed his 16 years and mayor of Beaverton. The library, City Park, public safety and Farmers Market were just of few of his accomplishments. Tualatin Hills Parks and Recreation had a representative speaking on their $100 million dollar bond measure. Portland Community College had a representatives speaking on their $376 million dollar bond measure. Neighborhood issues: Concerns between walkers and Frisbee golf users in Greenway Park were discussed. No new information on the Car Max proposal. An application for zone change from the self-storage facility on SW 125th has been submitted to the city. New business: NAC elections to retain current officers / 17-0 in favor The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 pm. |
