GREENWAY NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION COMMITTEE Meeting Minutes May 15, 2008 Jim Persey called the meeting to order at 7:02 pm in the library of Conestoga Middle School. Thanks to all our concerned neighbors for attending. A total of 59 people were present. The minutes from April 17, 2008 were approved as written. Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue Station 66 gave a fire services update on neighborhood calls, status of new station on SW Walnut St. and discussed fair weather safety tips such as preventing falls through open windows and safely disposing of oily rags. Beaverton Police Officer Rob Wolfe passed out crime statistics for our neighborhood and discussed recent issues with thefts of metal and catalytic converters. City of Beaverton Project Engineer, Brion Barnett discussed the new options under consideration for the 125th Ave. extension. The proposed cost savings with the new realignment is 2-3.5 million dollars. Neighborhood issues: - Spring clean-up Saturday June 7 at the old Westgate Theatre site. - July 31st Concert in the Park at Greenway A sign-up sheet was available for those wishing to volunteer for the Spring Clean-up.
