GREENWAY NAC MEETING April 16, 2009 The meeting was held at the Conestoga Middle School Library and called to order by Jim Persey at 7:00 pm Jim Persey introduced all city officials attending the meeting. Station 66 gave a fire service update, provided construction and improvement project updates for fire department buildings and indicated that a new traffic light will be installed at SW Davies & Brockman. TVF&R is currently in the hiring process. Community Police Officer Wolfe provided statistics and information on crime in our neighborhood. Mayor Denny Doyle shared thoughts on where the city is today and what the future might look like. Mayor Doyle encouraged community involvement, helping the needy, discussed urban renewal, SW 125th extension, traffic light syncing on Murray Blvd., and had a short question and answer session. Disc golf and safety of pedestrians in Greenway Park continues to be of concern for some neighbors. Volunteers for Beaverton Recycling Day on June 13, 2009 are needed for two shifts. A sign-up sheet was made available for neighbors to volunteer. Beaverton Neighborhood Summit "Living Greener & Leaner" is April 18, 2009 from 9am to 12:30 pm The NAC unanimously voted to donate $200 towards Concerts in the Park and $200 to SOLVE.
