GREENWAY NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION COMMITTEE

                                                           Meeting Minutes
                                                           April 19, 2007


Jim Persey called the meeting to order at 7:03 pm in the library of Conestoga Middle School.

The minutes from January 18, 2007 were approved as written.

Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue Station 66 was called to an emergency during the meeting unable to return to provide a fire services update.

Beaverton Police Officer Jones provided an update on neighborhood crime, discussed the new replica firearm ordinance and answered questions and concerns from the neighborhood.

Debra Fife from Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation presented information on the concert planned in Greenway Park on July 31st.

Tri-Met representatives discussed the Washington County Commuter Rail project and answered questions and concerns from the neighborhood. Parking at the Hall/Nimbus station is limited to approximately 50 vehicles.

Jason Wachs from the Neighborhood Program presented the change to Greenway NAC boundaries. An advisory vote was taken with a unanimous result.

Increased traffic volume concerns and street lighting repair on SW Greenway  were brought to the committee by neighbors.

The revised Greenway NAC bylaws were approved with a unanimous result.

Spring cleanup is Saturday, June 2nd. It will be located at the old Westgate Theatre site. A volunteer sign-up sheet was distributed during the meeting.

A vote to donate $200 to SOLVE and $200 to the concert in Greenway Park from Greenway NAC funds was voted on by committee members and approved with 6 in favor and 1 opposed.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:40 pm.
