Greenway Neighborhood Association Committee Meeting Minutes April 20, 2006 The Greenway NAC meeting was held at Conestoga Recreation and Aquatic Center in Room 202. The meeting was called to order at 7:00pm by Vice Chair Stephen Elzinga. Over 30 neighbors attended this meeting. Thank you for caring about our neighborhood! TVFR Station 66 reported on fire and medical call statistic, new signage at the fire station, station remodeling and the hiring of 16 new recruit fire fighters in training. TVFR offers a citizen academy in which participants can participate in fire fighting activities such as pulling hose, squirting water and spending a 24hour shift in the fire house. The Community Police Officer from the Beaverton Police Department gave a report and answered questions from the neighborhood. The City of Beaverton Emergency Manager, Mike Mumaw gave a presentation on how to prepare yourself and your family for a disaster. A sign-up sheet was available for volunteers for the neighborhood cleanup which is scheduled for Saturday June 3, 2006. There was no other business coming before the NAC. The meeting was adjourned at 8:30pm. |
