GREENWAY NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION COMMITTEE (NAC) MEETING MINUTES January 15, 2004 The Greenway NAC meeting was held at the Beaverton Resource Center in the small community room. The meeting was call to order at 7:05 by Jim Persey. Karl Anderson was appointed by the board as recorder. Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue station 66 was unable to attend the NAC meeting. The Beaverton community police officer provided a crime statistic update of the Greenway neighborhood. - - Theft and larceny crimes up - - Mail theft down by 50% Jim Persey asked for a vote for future Greenway NAC meeting preferences. The committee prefers Conestoga Middle School. This will be announced in the next Greenway Newsletter. Harsh Investments representatives provided information on the Cascade Plaza expansion on the old ViewMaster site. - - Traffic impact at Hall & Cascade, traffic study beginning analysis. - - Fanno Creek impact. - - TCE contamination and mitigation. - - Design review by end of May, construction begins late summer. 125th & Brockman update - - PGE needs to finish underground work. Highway 217 Task Force - - Metro is still interested in value pricing for the additional lane. New Haggen's meeting is to be rescheduled. State Senator Ryan Deckert provided his outlook on state government and tax issues. Schools, Health Care and Corrections account for 96% of state budget. Senator Deckert answered questions from the committee. There were no new neighborhood concerns. There was no other business brought before the NAC. The meeting was adjourned at 9:00 p.m. |
